On October 9-10, Sharjah will welcome the inaugural Regional Data & Community Development Forum. Featuring over 100 speakers, this forum will delve into the power of data in shaping infrastructure, sustainability, and quality of life in communities.

10th World Green Economy summit

On October 2-3, the Dubai World Trade Centre will host the 10th World Green Economy Summit (WGES). This summit will gather global leaders and experts to explore sustainable solutions and strategies for green economic growth.

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024

The excitement builds for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, running from October 3 to 20. Spanning two iconic venues, the Dubai International Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium, the tournament will feature 23 thrilling matches. The opening match sees Bangladesh take on Scotland on October 3, followed by Pakistan facing Sri Lanka.

Originally slated for Bangladesh, the tournament’s relocation to the UAE showcases the nation’s prowess in hosting world-class sporting events. Last year’s finalists, South Africa, will kick off their campaign against the West Indies, while the Indian women’s team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, opens against New Zealand on October 4.

Sharjah International Film Festival for Children & Youth

From October 6 to 12, the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children & Youth will screen 98 films from 28 countries. This groundbreaking festival, the first of its kind in the region, aims to enhance media literacy and nurture creativity among young audiences, showcasing exceptional films made for and by children and youth.
